Pickup from JKI Airport and drive to Amboseli National Park (3.5 hours) for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive. Join the large herds of African elephants grazing in the swamps for a fantastic photographic opportunity. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Enjoy a full day game drive with picnic lunches in Amboseli. With the sparse vegetation found in this arid grassland, Amboseli provides some of the best viewing opportunities in all of East Africa. During the day hours, impala, zebra, hippo and giraffe populate the expanses of the park. However, never far away are predators like the lion, hyena and jackal. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Depart after breakfast and drive to Nairobi (3.5 hours), where lunch will be served at The Carnivore Restaurant, before continuing on to Lake Nakuru (2.5 hours). An afternoon game drive in Nakuru. Witness over 2 million flamingos on the shores of Lake Nakuru. Be on the lookout for rhinoceros, giraffe, cheetah and a host of other wildlife found in the park before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Depart after breakfast, driving past the Loita Plains and on to the Masai Mara Game Reserve (5 hours), arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the Mara. Predators and prey abound, providing the rare opportunity to photograph all of the 'Big 5' in just a few hours. View over 70 species of large animals and 470 species of bird. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Morning and afternoon games drives in the Masai Mara, returning to the lodge for lunch. See hyenas inspecting last night's kills, elephants wallowing at the waterhole and a grassland that captures the essence of the African wilderness. Observe the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, lion, warthog and many other species that populate the Mara. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge, then depart for Nairobi (5 hours). Dropoff at either your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
