Full Kenyan Safari

Day 1 - Depart Nairobi, Mt Kenya National Park

Pickup from JKI Airport and drive to Mt Kenya National Park (2.5 hours). Lunch at the lodge. Dinner, then a night game viewing at the floodlit waterhole and salt-lick from the comfort of your lodge. Elephant, waterbuck, bushbuck, eland, leopard and rhino are found here. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 2 - Sweetwaters Sanctuary

After breakfast, drive to the Sweetwaters Sanctuary for lunch (30 minutes). Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and enjoy an afternoon game drive through this private reserve. Lions, antelope, rhino and elephant are especially abundant here. Be sure to greet "Max" the tame Rhino. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 3 - Samburu National Reserve

Depart after breakfast for the Samburu National Reserve (3 hours). Lunch at the lodge, then afternoon game drive. The Samburu Game Reserve is actually a collection of 3 national parks and boasts perhaps the most impressive diversity of wildlife in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 4 - Samburu National Reserve

Enjoy both a morning and afternoon game drive in Samburu, returning to the lodge for lunch. Keep watchful of the park's leopards, more common here than anywhere else in Kenya. Lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo and hippo also call Samburu home. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 5 - Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, transfer to the Samburu Airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival, transfer to the lodge. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara. Predators and prey abound, providing the rare opportunity to photograph all of the 'Big 5' in just a few hours. View over 70 species of large animals and 470 species of bird. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 6 - Masai Mara Game Reserve

Morning and afternoon games drives in the Masai Mara, returning to the lodge for lunch. See hyenas inspecting last night's kills, elephants wallowing at the waterhole and a grassland that captures the essence of the African wilderness. Observe the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, lion, warthog and many other species that populate the Mara. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 7 - Return Nairobi

Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge, then depart for Nairobi (5 hours). Dropoff at either your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
