Ultimate Tanzanian Safari

Day 1 - Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will be met by our representative and transferred to Arusha. Overnight on Bed & Breakfast at Impala Hotel.

 

 

Day 2 - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.

 

 

Day 3 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enjoy lunch at the lodge. This afternoon, you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas, the lake area & and the savannah. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

 

 

Day 4 - Serengeti National Park

Depart for the Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey's renowned archaeological discoveries. Lunch at the lodge, then an afternoon game drive. Head to the plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. Lion, cheetah, elephant, antelope, baboon, buffalo and warthog are also common. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 5 & 6 - Serengeti National Park

Two more full days of game drives in the Serengeti. Over 70 species of large animals and hundreds of varieties of bird ensure that no 2 days in the park are the same. All of the 'Big 5' can be found in this park, which is host to the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. Dinners and overnights at the lodge.

 

 

Day 7 - Lake Manyara National Park

Early morning game drive. Return for breakfast at the lodge. Depart to Ngorongoro Highlands for lunch at Gibbs Farm or similar. Afternoon visit to the waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Manyara.

 

 

Day 8 - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This park's inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree-climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Lunch at the Lake Manyara Hotel/Lodge, then drive back to Arusha and proceed to JRO for your departure flight in the evening.
