General Description

Kilaguni has been a well-known name in Kenyan tourism since 1962, when it was launched as the country’s first luxury lodge inside a game park. Located on a panoramic spur overlooking the sweeping Tsavo plains, the 56-room lodge looks out over one of Africa’s last great wildernesses – home to huge herds of elephant, buffalo, all the big cats, and some rare and beautiful antelope, including eland, Oryx and lesser kudu. Kilaguni’s guestrooms boast their own balconies with uninterrupted views over the floodlit waterhole and the bulk of Kilimanjaro beyond. The best views are from the five Superior Rooms, which also offer large living rooms and spacious modern bathrooms. The lodge’s restaurant offers sumptuous homecooked buffets and a la carte dishes prepared with produce from its own vegetable gardens.
